This project involved a complete renovation of a period property in the heart of Mapperley Park. The brief was to strip the existing interiors — which felt tired and disjointed — and reimagine the home with a curated blend of modern and traditional elements. The aim was to preserve the elegance and character of the original architecture while introducing contemporary interventions that elevate day-to-day living.
Working with a dated interior shell, our goal was to breathe new life into the property without losing its traditional charm. Each room was designed to have its own identity while remaining visually connected through tone, texture, and architectural detailing.
We retained a timeless architectural framework, using it as a backdrop for layered interiors filled with character, art, and craftsmanship. The scheme was designed as a reflection of the clients’ personalities — offering space to showcase their collection of classical furniture, artefacts, and personal pieces, all within a context that feels both grounded and expressive.
